The end of the quarter is coming closer and closer with each day. All that I have left to do is work with my 370 group to put our proposal together. It is a nice relief to only have that one thing left to do. This means only one more group to focus on and only one class to worry about.
But, before I head on break the quarter needs to end. So, this past week has seen a 115 page design report paper be turned in, a presentation on such paper, and our final presentation in 498 on Nmap. Yeah, it was a lot to do, but I am glad that it is all behind me now.
The group work this quarter was just taxing. It was in every class, which isn’t new, but it was just a lot to handle for some reason this quarter. The design report reminded me of INFO 380, but on a much smaller scale in terms of technicality. You didn’t need to pay attention to every detail of the report, just the main ideas. This wasn’t going to any client so I was not as worried about it as I was in 380. But, I still was concerned that it wasn’t good enough. However, I have confidence that the work that I completed at the end of this quarter will turn out for the best.
As much fun as the group work was, I am ready for a break. I head home in a week from Sunday and I have nothing that I have to do when I get home. It is going to be great. I’ll finally get to just relax and not have to worry about anything. But, before that happens I get to have dinner with my Dad twice this weekend. So, it will be nice to see him and to hang out for a little bit. It is not like I have much going on anyways, so it should be good times.
I just don’t know what else to say but I am glad that this quarter is coming to a close. This has to be one of the quarters I disliked the most while here at UW. I just didn’t like it all that much–mainly the content of the classes. From class, to group work, to out of class stuff. It was like that fly that pestered you and pissed the hell out of you but wouldn’t die. Well, it’s about to die the most wretched death and not a moment too soon. Count it down baby, 4 more days!
