A Google Party

Google has recently opened a new office in Kirkland, WA. Last night they had their open house party to welcome people into their new Washington home. UW| The Gathering

Last night I had some of the guys over from Clan UW. We haven’t meet up in quite some time. They really just wanted an excuse to see my new place, so I let them in to check it out. The night really started around 7pm and lasted until about 1am. It was a damn good time and I hope that everybody there felt the same way. The night mainly consisted of the following:

  • Lots of Hamburgers
  • Madden
  • Texas Hold ’em Poker
  • Quality Conversation

What made this even cooler was that I got to meet two of the guys for the first time. Manny, and Postal (Matt) made it out to the event and it was really cool to hang out with them. I didn’t recognize Matt at first, but needless to say he was really cool to finally meet in person. As for Manny, this was really cool because he made the trip all of the way for Oregon to hang out with us for the night.

I had a really good time and I don’t really know how to put it into words. Ed has done a good job putting the night’s events (w/ pics) into words. I had a really good time and now I have this yearning to play some more poker. It has been a while since I have played and now I think I am catching the bug again. Of course, I like to play a lot more when there is no money involved.

Wish I had more to say since the night was really fun, but I don’t. Yes, disappointment, I know. But, do not fear! More will be written in the future when more of these UW| events occur.

Thursday Night At Jillian’s

Last night IUGA, er… some friends of mine, headed out to Jillian’s in Seattle for some drinks, eats, pool, and some good times. I say some friends of mine because that is how it ended up. Come Together Washington

Last night Jamie, Anthony, and I went to Come Together Washington (link). This was the kick off for a $2 billion campaign to raise money for the UW community and to also show off some of the great work that is being done at UW. First Seahawks Game

I just got back from my first Seahawks game at Qwest Field. I knew from the chill I got during the pre-game team introductions that I would enjoy this game. The game that I saw was really good, incase you missed it on TV. I mean, when you are up 17-0 at the end of the first quarter you know that you were bound to do well. The game ended up 34-0 with a Seahawks win.

If the ‘Hawks do good this year I just might have to get tickets for next season. Also, the seats that we had were pretty good too. They were on the north end of the field right at the goal line about mid way up the lower deck.

Man, now it is back to living through football on TV. Pro football, since the Huskies suck this year.

Golden Gardens

Yesterday Anthony, Jules, Jamie, and I went to Golden Gardens Park to screw around and enjoy the day since our plans for Mt. Rainier fell though. It was a really nice day out and it was great to be on the beach. I took plenty of pictures and I’ll share a few of them with you to give you an idea on what we did on our day at the beach.
