Madden, Tiger, and Beer

Yesterday after work was busy and fun. It began by playing a ridiculous amount of Madden and Tiger Woods on the PS2 after work with Stephen.

The following is kinda a flashback to high school, well… middle school. But, I had a friend whose older brother would have his friends over to play video games quite often. My friend then said something to the effect of, “That is so silly that he has people over to play video games. You think he’d grow out of it.” Well, uh, that’s me now! Interim Bliss

Now that my summer interim is fully upon me I have found that I have a lot of time to do a bunch of things. To keep myself occupied I bought a two new books, began a redesign of my site, bought two DVDs, got three new CDs, and also got a new video game to play. You think I wouldn’t be bored, right? Wrong. So much free time, so much time to fill. Continue reading “Interim Bliss”

Hurricane Frances

As you all may know by now, Hurricane Frances (image) is bearing down on the eastern coast of Florida. Only being three weeks removed from Hurricane Charlie, they are looking at tough times ahead. This month will be something that Florida has never seen in its history; two hurricanes in less than three weeks.

Long Time No See

It is always nice to catch up with an old friend. This is what I had the opportunity to do this afternoon. It was good to talk about whatever we wanted. It mainly involved school, HS friends that we still talk to, what we’re up to, and how we really don’t know what to do with our time when we are in the midwest.

All in all it was a good time to spend the two hours to sit down and talk. It really didn’t seem like it was that long, but then it was time to go our separate ways. That will probably be the only contact that I have with my old friends while I am here in MN. So, unless someone reads this and decides that they want to hang out and they call me. But, other than that Jamie will be in tomorrow and I’ll attempt to show her all the the Twin Cities has to offer. So, if you have any suggestions on what we should do until Sunday let me know. I am out of ideas.

Back in Minnesota

Well, I am back home in Minnesota. It is kinda of weird to call it home since I really do not spend that much time here anymore. But, this is where I grew up and it is nice to be back with the family and familiar surroundings. The plane flight was good and pretty quick too at 2 hours and 40 minutes. The part that seemed to take a long time was the time it took to get my bags. Maybe it was because I was the first one off of the plane and I was at the baggage carousel early, but it just seemed to last a lifetime. Continue reading “Back in Minnesota”

The Weekend

The past few days have been pretty good, with the exception of Friday.

Friday I was covering a shift for a coworker and that made for a 12+ hour day away from home and on campus. I was ready to go home after my morning class, but I had to stick around campus to be able to get some work done. Mainly, I had a book that I had to read for class. But, before work began, I finished the book. It was a decent read, but not a book that you would just go out and purchase.
