Birthday Weekend

Yesterday was my birthday and what a better way to celebrate than to get sun burned on half of your body! Well, no, I can think of better ways, but I did have a blast with those who came out to Golden Gardens. The potluck was way fun and cool and I think that the concept of a potluck equals win. Now, if only my body would appreciate the sun like Jamie’s does, then I’d be set.

The night before, my parents, Jamie, and myself went out to Oceanaire for dinner. Unlike times in the past when I have been there, the food wasn’t that great. I think it was just my meal, because everybody else seemed to enjoy their meal quite a bit. But, I think I’ll be staying away from seafood for a while.

To make up for the bad food from Saturday night, well, not really, this was planned in advance, we went to Daniel’s Broiler down in Leschi Bay. This night the food was much better and I left feeling much better than I did the night before. So, as usual with Daniel’s, the food was great. Like I was saying during the day yesterday… steak and chocolate. And yes, it was amazing.

So, really, that’s my weekend in a nutshell… a really small one at that. But, I forgot to say that Trevor and I, well, mainly Trevor… I read a Maxim, worked on theinfocrew.net on Saturday. We’re just awaiting some comps from Aaron *cough* *cough* to begin the visual aspect of the site and we hope to have it to you sometime next month.

With not that much said about my weekend… here’s to being 23! Hip Hip Hooray!

Graduation Weekend

Well, it’s been quite a weekend, to say the least. I decided to have my weekend start a little early by taking Friday off. I thought that I should at least take the day off since my Dad was coming into town on Thursday night. But, that night was only the beginning of a whirlwind weekend of fun stuff to do. Interim Bliss

Now that my summer interim is fully upon me I have found that I have a lot of time to do a bunch of things. To keep myself occupied I bought a two new books, began a redesign of my site, bought two DVDs, got three new CDs, and also got a new video game to play. You think I wouldn’t be bored, right? Wrong. So much free time, so much time to fill. Continue reading “Interim Bliss”

What I’ve Been Up To

It wasn’t until this morning when I was on the phone with my Mother after my 1st of two midterms that I realized that I had not called home in a while and this lead to a simple question, “What have you been up to?” Ok, I can just reply and say that I have been busy, which is true, but not entirely the answer that she is looking for. The funny thing of it was that I couldn’t even remember what I did for part of last weekend. I just knew that I was busy.

Week in Review 6/21 – 6/27

This week was the first week of summer school and it was also the last. I was signed up for LING 100 during A term, but after the second day of class I decided that this class was not my thing and I dropped it the next day. This leaves me with 2 VLPA credits for B term to take. Those shouldn’t be too bad since it is music theory and I have been involved in playing music since I was in 5th grade. Oh, yeah, I also 4.0’ed the 1st quarter of the series, so yeah, we’ll see how it goes.

With the increase in time that I have had with dropping my A term class I am in need of things to do. I just finished my book on Saturday and my next set of books won’t be in until next week.

Since I have my afternoons free I can pretty much do whatever I want to fill the time. So, this past week I was out on the driving range with Jula, had an IUGA officers meeting, had a blast at Happy Panqueque Night, caught up with on old friend (Brent) at Korean BBQ, and watched Mystic River with Trotter on Friday. Phew, yeah, then it was University Market and lunch @ Chipolte with Jula, and then dinner w/ Jamie @ Jitterbug in Wallingford and Bad Boys II on Saturday.

Yeah, it was a good week last week. Oh, yeah, and I almost forgot that the bedroom furniture came in on Friday. Yeah, hopefully the weather stays nice so that I can be outside more. I need to get out b/c I am really pale right now and I need some sun. Yeah, sun… just what I need while I am sitting here in the lab posting this. *sigh*
